We weren't ready to leave the mountains, but it was time to go.  We stopped in Georgetown on the way to the airport to burn a little Claire energy and found this AMAZING huge playground.  It was incredible.  What a way to end our trip!

This is about 1/4 of the playground.

Early morning family photo

Good buddies

Here are the two Ryan's.  They have been best friends since high school.  Cool mountain dudes...

Here are some shots from Ryan and Aaron's day of fly fishing on the Colorado.  The water was fast and furious, but they still managed to catch fish!

A view of the alpenglow seen from Ryan & Missy's deck.  Wow.

Claire loved giving Missy kisses and thought the new songs she taught her were the best!

Yodelaaaaeeeeooooo......

The view from Sapphire point, overlooking the ten-mile range and Lake Dillon.

Claire's first ice cream cone.  There's no turning back now...
Of course she loved it (must be genetic).
Bubblicious...

More from our bike ride.  We pedaled from Breckenridge to Frisco, the next town down the mountain, then hopped the bus back to town.

"Cheers" to a great bike ride from Breck to Frisco.

Kingdom Days in Breck.  Here Claire pans for gold with Emily and Missy.  Below, Missy, Aaron and Claire check out the contestants for the outhouse races.

Here, Uncle Ryan watches over Claire as she works on her stair climbing.  She became quite proficient at it at their home during the trip.

Here is a picture of Megan and Claire on our early morning Father's Day walk.  Claire didn't adjust to the time zone changes well.  Anyway, can you believe that the best view in town is from a parking lot?

Here Daddy and Claire goof off for the next few Fathers' Day pics...

Okay so Saturday we took a GREAT hike up the North Ten Mile Trail, which enters the White River National Forest.  There were great wild flowers, open meadows with mountain streams, waterfalls and an nice trail.  But there was no camera!  Oops.  Ryan carried Claire up the trail in the child carrier (THANK YOU! from the oxygen/altitude deficient) and she slept from 100 yards out of the parking lot to almost the halfway point of our walk.  Dad then carried her down hill, and she got to see everything then.  From there we went to the Frisco BarBQ festival where we learned that a long line means they are slower, not that the BBQ is the best...it did actually rain that day too, but Claire was a trooper.

Sorry, no pictures today.

Here we spend some time scoping for the elusive family picture with no thumbs in it...and no blurs, and everyone looking at the camera, and eyes open, and mouths in an acceptable position...
Uncle Ryan showed Claire how cold the water is here moments before this picture.  I think his feet are numb in this picture, but you would never know it, and Claire is very happy.
Dude, I can't reach the pedals!  Just put me in the basket okay.
Sick!
Here are some pictures of our first full day in Breck.  Ryan and Missy went to work on Friday, and we went hiking and goofing off around town.  We met up with Ryan on the green after work.  He and Claire get along very well.  Here is Ryan, who is capable of staying still for more than 1/125 for a picture.  Claire moved and is actually directly behind him...I think.

My future's so bright...Ryan under the influence of a toddler, attempts texting Missy on the Riverwalk Center Green in Breckenridge.
Claire and Megan enjoy the alpine garden on the riverwalk.  I missed some really great photos here, should have been using the photo salvo or something.
Claire enjoys rocks a lot.  She never did make the connection that the mountains were mostly rocks though.  Here is one she especially liked that daddy gave her.  She kissed it just before this picture.
Daddy and Mommy and Claire enjoyed their hike on the Burro Trail off of Peak 8.  Here is a memento of Claire's expression and fascination with water...or as she calls it "Waaa"

We are back from our Breckenridge, CO vacation and visiting with Uncle Ryan and Aunt Missy.  The weather was great for this time of year, sunny, warm (mostly) and the scenery and company were wonderful.  Claire really loves her uncle 'RyRy'.  Special thanks for the accomodations you two!
And it was a pretty great father's day too.  Here Claire and I walk home from the park after an EARLY morning breakfast at Daylight Donuts with Mommy.

More pictures and stuff from the trip to come.

We filled up the pool for the first time this year.  It was a very nice Sunday afternoon.  Claire did not play in it so much as with her toys in it.  Dad and Mom enjoyed it anyway.
Claire's feet were the only thing (besides Daddy) getting wet.
So we moved on to bubbles, which are always popular with Claire.  Here it looks like she is blowing them, but really she is just eating them.
Mimi and Papa came over too for a bit of a grilling celebration.
Which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

So if you really want to get some strange looks, try a Fisher Price hood ornament like this one.  Megan and I found this sandbox used on Craigslist, and I drove about 10 miles to go pick it up and then home with it on top of the car.  This is only remarkable because I never did get that merit badge in knots as a cub scout.
Claire of course knew right away that it was for her...MINE!
Loves her sandbox!  Any friends are welcome to come play in the dirt.  It has a cover...

Claire stops moving for just a moment for a break in a chair.
...well, it looks to be a good crop this year.  Sure hope we get that rain soon though...
Nature girl.  Loves outside.  Prefers running over walking hand in hand, but can make time to stop and smell the flowers in the right company.
Claire was into rocks and dirt on this trip.  Here Great-grandpa helps her out by finding a great one she apparently missed.
Wardrobe malfunction!  No pants = no pockets!  Claire didn't want to wear her pants any longer, but there is a price to pay for choices sometimes...
She was very interested in the fresh radishes from the Iles' garden.  She wasn't very much into eating them later though.
Great-grandpa, great-grandma, Claire and Daddy enjoy the beautiful day outside.
Claire and Grandma Deb walk down the lane hand in hand.
