Claire enjoyed a long weekend with Grandma and Grandpa and Dad and Mom. We went hiking, to the farmers market, out to eat, and played at home. Claire was so smiley and good through it all! Lots of family to love her...

Dad takes a little break from our hike at/to/from Westwood Nature Center which is near our home. He had to remove the hanger string from his sunglasses as someone thought they were 'reins' for the pack animal.

Claire seems to enjoy the kid carrier as much or more than the Bjorn. Dad and mom enjoy having her along in something other than the stroller, and the workout quotient is higher since time is not always permitting.

Guess who is 8 months old now! My how the time has been going by. Claire enjoys the beautiful outside weather we have been having, bathtime, bjorn walks, bike trailer rides, and spending time with Mommy and Daddy.

Claire's first boat ride!
Claire took her first pontoon ride on Saturday. Claire loved to feel the wind on her tongue! She could hardly keep it in her mouth.

The highlight of the weekend was Uncle Ryan's visit. Claire and Ryan are good buddies!

Steering the ship...
This is a rare picture of Claire wearing her life jacket and smiling. She wasn't such a fan of the PFD!

Claire loves to have storytime in the rocking chair before bed. A special quilt that Aaron's mom made hangs over the chair and Claire likes to look at it and see Mom and Dad's baby pictures!

Here is a short clip of the hail storm that occurred last week. It started out coming at us very slowly, and noisily, and had we realized how big it was, we may have started preparing the back yard a bit sooner, and trying harder to protect the car. Megan's new flower pots and our garden and flower beds took quite a hit with the golf ball size hail, and the marble size that followed didn't help much. The amount of bounce the stones has is quite entertaining though.
