Painting the Nursery

The nursery has been painted! 'Pale vista' (or light lime green) is the color and Aaron did a great job. Although I did do the taping. The only snag is that about 1/2 the paint on the molding came up with the tape, so one more step for this project...

Here we are

Well, you found us. It's hard to keep up with so many of you, our friends and family due to busy lives and varied places of residence.

You hale from the east coast in New Hampshire, from Colorado and San Francisco and even beyond our continent to Australia-which is about as far as you can get from our little home at 2507 Virginia in St Louis Park, MN.

Well with so many of you so far off that we want to share our stories and lives with, we hope that this can be a nice little spot to visit until you make it back here to our little spot of land and we can chat and share time cordially and properly.

In the meantime, I should let you in on a little info. We are very excited to have a little one on the way. As with all new parents (and parents in general) there are lots of pictures and milestones that they want to share with...well, anyone who will stand there long enough. Hopefully by posting those items here on our blogspot, you can save time and hard drive space in not having to save and open up those huge jpeg images. And you can do it on your own time and as often as you wish, so long as you know where we are posting.

Welcome to heypatterson.blogspot.com
and remember, there is no www in that.

Blog Party

Thanks for stopping by to catch up. Megan and I have been busy nesting around home...both inside and outside. Our lawn and our vegetable gardens continue to struggle with the hot dry weather, but our flower beds are full of color.

Megan picked up paint for the nursery (for those of you who have stayed in our guest room--sorry we'll find another space) this weekend, and I will need to get it onto the walls soon. We're slated for at least one new window in there too. We started some minor landscaping tasks and planted a few new flowers by the curb hoping to dress up that space. Its such a troublesome spot there with the weeds every summer, sand and salt every winter. The new tool locker on the back of the garage is framed now.

We are done with labors for the day. Maybe a bit of hammock time is in order. We plan to have a nice dinner with the items we picked up from the farmer's market yesterday: chicken, beets, green beans...mmm.

You are always welcome at our table!
